Based in Buenos Aires and New York, Estudio Ramos has developed a distinctive style that relies on a well-defined vision of modernism. Through 35 years of experience and more than 400 projects, the firm has developed it’s work with a deep respect for architecture’s principles.


In their long trajectory of residential buildings, commercial buildings and sports facilities, they seek to understand and interpret each project’s context, pursuing its ideal scale and sustainability. Their goal is to encourage reflection through a simple, pure and honest architectural language.

The office has been recognized with international awards in architecture excellence and has been invited to exhibitions such as the Venice Architecture Biennale in Italy.

JUAN IGNACIO RAMOS

Juan Ignacio Ramos was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1955. He graduated from the University of Architecture and Urbanism of Buenos Aires in 1978.

During his years of study, he worked as a draftsman in his father’s studio: Ramos, Alvarez Forn, Ostman, Arquitectos. Between the years 1979 and 1989 he worked in association with the architects Francisco Billoch and Ignacio Dahl Rocha. In 1990 he founded Estudio Ramos which since then has developed more than 400 projects in Argentina, Uruguay, and the United States.

IGNACIO RAMOS

Ignacio Ramos was born in Buenos Aires in 1983. He carried out his studies at the Florida Atlantic University of the United States and in Anhalt+Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau, Germany. He graduated from his architectural studies in 2007. In 2011 he completed his Master's Degree in Architecture in the University of Columbia in New York. 

During his years of study, he worked as a draftsman in Estudio Ramos and as a collaborator with the artist Michael Singer. In 2007 he became Partner at Estudio Ramos.
